Don Giovanni Staging Project

Color inspiration for the women's costumes was taken from suffragette colors. Various combinations of colors were utilized by different suffragette groups, with both purple/white/green and purple/white/gold being embraced as suffragette colors commonly recognized today.1 I have opted to use purple, white, and green. |

2Denim Day occurs yearly on a Wednesday in April in honor of an Italian rape victim whose judge determined that, due to the tightness of her denim jeans, she must have helped remove the jeans, implying consent. The day after the ruling, all the women in the Italian Parliament came to work wearing denim as a show of support for the victim. Denim Day awareness has now spread internationally.
